I DROVE ON THE ROAD WITH OTHER CARS TODAY!

Whoo hoo!

Too bad Hannah couldn't see me do it... she just flew off today.. *shoooow shaaaad* Yup. She was here for an entire month with me here in dallas and we had so much fun! I do hope shes already arrived New York safely, afterwhich she'll be going back to Singapore with Normypoo (looks like wormypoo, hmm.) leaving me to be the only one of the six to still be in US *shoooow shaaaad* ):

Well thats about all im gonna blog about, you know i hate boring you guys with every bit of what goes on each day of my life. But if you'd really like to know, and since i've already logged onto blogger -

So what have i been doing after coming 'of age'?

Well, the same stuff i guess..

And we were supposed to go for drinks at this landmark revolving lounge in Dallas.. but *someone* was still underaged, (namely Haha Tan) so we could only take a few pictures outside.

Oh i've been trying to drive too..

This is my first 'purposeful' parking! ( we watched Fantastic Four after that)

Oh and I met up with my old friends from 6th grade!

Becca and me! This was my best friend.. the friend i always called first, the one whose number i memorized. (ok, and i kinda cheated cuz this was taken on july 4th)

Me and Matt.. We used to sit next to each other in class (Man did he grow, haha!) This was the night before his 21st and we both got LEGAL drinks :)

... And Megan!! She used to live across the street from me.. and she looks exactly the same as before for some reason :) (This was at the end of Matt's birthday party at Rockin' Rodeo, this club)

And then last night, as bridesmaids, we threw a bridal shower for Terrance.. my first one too!

And today, we went shopping at M.A.C cosmetics cuz Joie's mom got us 45% off!

Afterwhich we had a really fun barbeque at joie's place.

And somehow there was champagne!

I'm a big girl now *grin*

Happy twenty-first Birthday to me!

Well it came and went but let me tell you how:

I wanna thank everyone who called/snailmailed/emailed/e-carded/messaged/friendstered/facebooked.. even though it's a bit overwhelming when it all comes at the same instant *haha* i appreciate it ;) ...almost makes up for my first birthday away from home.

So i was lying on my bed talking to shane on the phone and suddenly, my lights were switched off and a whole troop of people started streaming into my room going "uh-oh, uh-oh!" and in came a cake too! I have to say i was genuinely surprised.. never really had a midnight birthday surprise before (and i was actually about to take a shower, so if i didn't procrastinate over that, the whole cake-cutting thing would've been delayed an hour and i'd have been in my pajamas, whew) Here're all the wonderful people:

Here's Vincent and Terrance, who've taken such good care of both my friends and me :)

Here's Clement (who's house I'm staying in) and his fiancee Jazz, and they've given me a bunch of iTune vouchers :)

Here's Ernest, Jazz's little bro, who chose a very yummy oreo ice cream cake for me and has been really nice to drive Hannah and me around!

Here's Heidi and her dog SiuSiu (whom we terrorize) and MiuMiu who never stays still..

And of course Hannah and Hanwei (who just reached today after a 5 hour bus ride from houston)!

So after a few hours of sleep, we woke up bright and early and headed off to Hurricane Harbor! Never had a theme park birthday before either, and it was great! Im usually game for all sorts of rollercoasters but anything without seatbelts and railings are a BIT scary.. so i kinda surprised myself by the slides i went on.. I was so brave! Hehe.. anyway, these pictures were taken after we played with everything..

And after a whole day of sun and slides we had dinner at TGI Friday's.. and yeah all the waiters came around gave me an ice cream sundae and did one of those birthday sing-song things.

If you're my aquaintance and 'heard' frm somewhere that I 'look' Chinese but 'fake' an accent or something, I will explain now (though it's never once and for all): I'm an American born Chinese, my parents are Hongkongers. I was born in Chicago, raised in Hongkong till I was 5, moved to Boca Raton, Florida and stayed till I was 11, moved to Trophy Club, Texas and stayed till i was 13, moved to Singapore and have stayed there since. Throughout my preschool-univeristy life i have attended 13 schools so far. Was it tough? did it make me bitter? I dont think so, ask any of my friends.. or try and find someone who hates me.. *wink*
