So I'm still in Dallas with my cousins and darling hannah has come to visit me!! (u should check out her blog if u want 'prompt' updates .. like i said, im lazy *grin*)





So what have the two of us been up to:


Well firstly theres my new ipod mini. 'nuff said.


We baked an Angel Food Cake

And we've been shopping man.. im telling ya.. clothes, starbucks, cosmetics, hairdye, bottles of bath and body works, presents, icecream, movies, bikinis.. and thats on top of alot of other stuff we've already bought alone.. we need to stop.



So today my cousin dropped us off at the shopping plaza nearest home.. (its not as dangerous as it sounds, heh) we set out at 9am and we stayed at Starbucks/Barnes and Nobles' bookstore till 2:30pm!! And we were good!! i was reading the whole time..


-Psychology for Dummies
-Helping loved ones deal with Depression
-APA DSM-IV manual (shrink bible)
-Freud's Psychology of Love and Sexuality (this was surprisingly boring)
-Freud's Intro to Psychoanalysis (ok, i think i hate the way he writes)
-Primer to Freud's Psychoanalysis (better.. some author reworded freud for me)
-Photographing People (pretty models..)
-Nerve's guide to the Big Bang (i'll leave this to your imagination.. it was next to the psych books)
-Hellraiser's Constantine comicbook (as u probably figured, i've moved towards 'play' books by now)


Now THIS is worth mentioning.. Constantine.. my first superhero comic book!!! First time that I just sat there and finished reading a comic book.. perhaps cuz i've already seen the movie so that held my interest cuz i knew what was going on.. but i wanted to have it so much i was abt to buy it.. reason went beyond the fact that keanu reeves was on the cover.. but i guess he caused me to take it off the shelf *grin*


So yeah.. 5 hours on the couches.. and we didnt buy a thing but a coffee and a pretzel. Awesome.


Oh and i read one more book!! It was the last book i read.. it was also the last book Shel Silverstein wrote before he died. It's called 'Runny Babbit'. Here's an excerpt:

And inspite of my notoriously hilarious typos, everything in that poem is spelled right! :)


And on Sunday i was working at Claire's accessories.. they hired me to help them out with taking inventories and the manager's considering hiring me for the summer.. i had to take this touch-tone phone survey first though (those honesty, criminal records, personality quizzes) it was so montonous and boring i almost fell asleep..thinking.. how could anyone get these wrong or be dumb enough to put down an answer that might hurt them? well well, just when i thought i was on a roll, they asked me:


"Have you ever commited any act of crime relating to sexual harassment in the office? If yes, press 1. If no, press 2"


and i was so used to pressing 1 for the previous questions... i pressed.. uh-huh... its' what you think... What an idiot, mil! Let's see if i still get hired.. if not, then..darn... if i do, then.. great, but - what has america come to?! hiring sexual harassment offenders like 'me'?!!

If you're my aquaintance and 'heard' frm somewhere that I 'look' Chinese but 'fake' an accent or something, I will explain now (though it's never once and for all): I'm an American born Chinese, my parents are Hongkongers. I was born in Chicago, raised in Hongkong till I was 5, moved to Boca Raton, Florida and stayed till I was 11, moved to Trophy Club, Texas and stayed till i was 13, moved to Singapore and have stayed there since. Throughout my preschool-univeristy life i have attended 13 schools so far. Was it tough? did it make me bitter? I dont think so, ask any of my friends.. or try and find someone who hates me.. *wink*
