STARSTRUCK.

I think im in love with daomingsi... as ridiculous and bizaare as it does seem.. hahaha... i can't believe it myself.. it's GOT to be the anaesthetics.. i've been watching Meteor Garden for 24hrs straight (breaking barely for meals and nature's calls!) i don't stop till 4 plus in the morning! and sometimes i voluntarily feel like speaking chinese.. Jeez miL... get a grip!

Zhen: thanks for coming over friday *grinz*.. and bringing along to my room a gazillion hrs of daomingsi.. haha and sorry i conned u into watching that cheater of a 4hr show Gone with the Wind with me.. and ur probably immuned to ginger snaps now too huh?

haha.. jk.. jk...!

Had my foot surgery done at NUH on monday and now im hopping ard the house on crutches *grinz*.. In any case, it's so much better to be back home... that night spent at NUH felt like a night at the old age home... thanks dad for bringing me the portable DVD player.. thanks mom for the ben&jerry's ice cream.. and thanks aaron for the very hilarious and entertaining phonecall which resulted in 2 nurses coming in to tell me "shut up and go to sleep.."
the nurses at the plaster room were even nastier though.. I was sitting abt 5ft away frm a phone so i asked a nurse if i could make a phone call ( as in help me to the phone..?) and she juz barked "How you make?!?" then walked away! And the nurses that did my dressing were so rough!! She tore the bandage so carelessly that the stitch wound sorta ripped abit so blood was gushing out.. and she was still like "Eh, how come got so much blood ah??" Sheesh.. and that's not all... while there were like 4 other people in the room who were also getting a cast done, this professor brought in a bunch of his uni guys and asks my doctor "What you doing here?.. You guys wanna watch this??.. Eh, i leave them here to 'observe' ah?" So there i was.. almost gonna cry already and i became Exhibit Mil... and those asses were asking me so many questions i felt like punching them! haha.. Ooh and i think i saw nabil's bro too as i was being wheeled ard...

Staying home is really boring.. i watch all the lame ass shows and commercials like 15 gazillion times.. I even found my way to the F4 channel! I tried staying up to catch the Man-U vs Juventus match last night.. it was at 3:35am.. i even sat thru Days of our Lives!.. *all this just to see how Beckham's doing now =)*.. but the last time i recalled glancing at the clock, it was 3:25am... then i think i juz drifted to sleep with the game right before my eyes, quite literallly as the tv was still on when i woke up this morning haha...

What a very hari raya day it's been today..

well i rearranged my room.. changed to a smaller mattress and created this lil elevation step to my bed...in addition to that, there's now a pretty funky "sitting area" haha (guests, welcome welcome => ).. but that's not the best part: it's the tv and dvd system ive put in my room as well! (and i did all this by myself k?? though i've gotta admit i juz took the extra machines and cables from ard the hse and asked for my dad's permission after i connected everything..heh..) So now i've got everything in there except for a phone and pool table *haha*

so i stayed in my room the whole day admiring my new interior designs/additions and watching tv... watched everything from the brit awards , american awards, and that bimbo show with justin timberlake 'Model Behavior'.. i cant believe some stupid newbie by some dumb name of "will young" (um no offence to 'tim young' in any way, yah?) beat matchbox20/nickleback in some catagory... oh well, these were reruns anyway..

had steak for dinner.. and the beef was fresh and flown straight from austrailia by quantas airways juz this morning ( haha.. a friend brought it back for us lah..) the grill was done precisely medium rare.. good stuff, mom =) Ooh and i tried my hand at making "pate de saumon" ( basically smoked salmon spread served on Carr's biscuits)... i must say im quite proud of myself too..hehe

Hmm.. so that's the life of a public holiday..back to work tmr..works actually not that bad lah (ive moved up to working in the office now, Wing Tai Clothing Co., im actually the "Marketing and Promotions Assistant" for G2000/U2 and those UK High street fashion stores... nifty title huh?? haha)... had a meeting with Style: magazine yesterday.. im learning alot abt how brands and magazines work together.. real practical and hands-on training.. Most of the time though, im flipping through magazines.. yup u read me right: i flip abt 10 over fashion/lifestyle magazines a day, cutting out articles/models/ads that feature the clothing from our stores.. then i file em up as 'editorials'.

And since our company's one of the sponsors for "The Hot Chick Party" down at Embassy tmr night, me and whoever i invite get to go in for free!! Taking Zhen, Ser, Darren and his buddies with me.. anyone else wanna visit jennifer?? hehe ..Free booze and door prizes! Just gimme a call or something..

Just read aaron's diary.. and i realized that im not the only who's REALLY wasting time to the max..
yesterday i woke up at ard 2 ( but only cuz my bro came back home from school already and started throwing stuff at me and pulling off my blanket.. jerk..)
I was really mad at him for doing that cuz i had juz slipped into this really nice dream.. an extremely bizarre one, though, with a guy a barely know..haha and no im not gonna tell (except maybe lynn.. since she was in that dream too *grinz* haha) ANYWAY.. so i woke up.. and had lunch. then i watched TV.. but nothing good is ever on at 2 plus in the afternoon cuz i think MOE wants all the kids to do their homework first.. good stuff comes ard 5... so we watched animal planet which is always on (and did i mention that i was watching animal planet the night BEFORE as well? learned all about lemurs...) Then I got online and burned a couple cd's (which explains the oasis lyrics..)

and then i waited and waited for Smallville (i know im a girl, but i only watch it for lana lang too --or "lala land" as susie says-- she's beautiful!!" then i watch felicity after that.. it's been years since i watched that show.. but it seems like i haven't missed much.. i mean i love the show but seriously.. 4 years later and it's still "ben or noel??".. "noel or ben??" (while everyone else ard the trio juz keeps rotating partners..)It's easy!! noel is ugly! but then again, ben will never get his life together.. ok, felicity.. i understand ur situation now..heh.. (and what the heck is ben doing in pre med?? did he just get smart?? Felicity's the one who should be going back to pre med...) And after that.. i decided to flip to channel i.. and all they're showing are trailers of the new movies... I wanna watch em all!! : Catch me if you can... Maid in Manhatten.. The Hot Chick..

and a couple nights ago i watched Never Been Kissed.. ( and plucked my eyebrows during the commercial breaks..) ..the "prom king" guy had preeeetty nice features, huh??

OK.. my bro is a genius i tell you.. a natural sherlock holmes.. check out how he cracks "the case of his stolen money":

My bro left his wallet in the school toilet the other day and he din even know it until some unknown kid gives it back to him a couple hours later. So he takes it back and thanks the kid.. then the school PA system announces for Travis Simon Yuen to come to the office to collect his student ID.. so the idiot goes.. and it was only then that he realized his wallet was actually empty and his $10 gone.. dumb right? So he comes home, tells us abt it and we well him to be more careful next time right?

Yesterday, my mom asked him whether he bought the books he was supposed to buy and he says no cuz he din have money...
mom: "but i gave u another $10 in the morning?"
travis: "oh really?... um... OH! now i remember!! I was trying to catch the guy who stole my wallet u see.. so i purposely put my wallet in the same toilet again and waited for the guy to come again.. that way, who ever takes my wallet would have been the theif!"
mom: "but why would anyone take ur wallet if you're there?"
travis: "i was HIDING! duh!"
mom: "so did u catch the guy? where's ur wallet now?"
travis: "oh yeah.. um.. recess was over so i had to go back to class.. and i accidentally left my wallet there..BUT DON'T WORRY! i went back for it after school! and the auntie was really nice and gave it back to me!"
mom: "so why din u buy the books?"
travis: "oh the money was gone again"

PATHETIC CHILD aint he??!!!! and u know what? that's not the last of it yet.. there's more..
So he supposedly got back his moneyless wallet again right?? so we asked him to take it out.. but he couldn't find it! Apparently he lost it AGAIN after the toilet auntie gave it back to him!! Call me at 96833944 if you've got a funnier story to tell then this...

izzit like a crime to be single or something?? cuz it sure feels like it now man.. i go walking ard town right, and these lil surveyors ( bet they're punks who are waiting for results.. juz like us) they come up and beg u for "a few minutes of your time to answer some questions" so they ask you like how often u go to orchard.. why.. what ya do.. where u go.. and the last question was like:

so i said single, right?

After the longest day of trying to fix my screwed up application for UT, I come home exhausted.. everything was (at least) ok until after dinner, I experienced the most hilarious and incoherent string of verse:

Mom: Where's your pink cough medicine?
Me: It's with the rest in that bag.. Where's the bag?
Mom: I put it on your desk.
Me go looking for it on my desk. Me can't find it and looks elsewhere (right?) Mom sees that..
Mom: I said I put it on YOUR desk! Yesterday!
Me: I can't find it on MY desk. (which was spotless for once *grinz*)
Behold the climax..
Mom: You are totally not in touch with this family now!
Shocked. What the HELL was THAT?!??
So I continue to pretend and search on my desk.. then I go check the shelf where I last saw it a couple days ago.. and I FIND it.
Me: Mom, are you looking for this?
Mom: Yes.
and she gives me that contented "I-told-you-it-was-there" look
Me: Well I found it on the shelf outside..
Mom/Monster: I-PUT-IT-ON-YOUR-DESK-YESTERDAY!!!!
I think my head fell off...

If you're my aquaintance and 'heard' frm somewhere that I 'look' Chinese but 'fake' an accent or something, I will explain now (though it's never once and for all): I'm an American born Chinese, my parents are Hongkongers. I was born in Chicago, raised in Hongkong till I was 5, moved to Boca Raton, Florida and stayed till I was 11, moved to Trophy Club, Texas and stayed till i was 13, moved to Singapore and have stayed there since. Throughout my preschool-univeristy life i have attended 13 schools so far. Was it tough? did it make me bitter? I dont think so, ask any of my friends.. or try and find someone who hates me.. *wink*
